You Aren’t Alone
Peer support is a way of saying “I’ve been there”, forming a positive, healthy relationship with others based on mutuality. Although we may not have had the same struggles, we can relate to one another based on mutual shared experiences. We are here for one another to support each other through difficult times, and to cherish the positives together.
Peer Support Center
An adult educational wellness center for adults living with mental health challenges, open to the community. We have monthly field trips and activities for members.
Crisis Respite
A six-day, seven night program, as an alternative to hospitalization for those that choose so. You are here with peers with lived experiences with mental health to support you through your struggles.
Step-Up Step-Down
A longer term program (up to 90 days) for those coming out of the hospital, or who need more services in their community. This is a non-clinical environment with peers with lived experience in mental health and is goal-orientated.

What do we do and what is peer support?
About Us
We follow three modalities in peer support, the IPS (Intentional Peer Support), WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan), and WHAM (Whole Health Action Management) programs. These modalities are SAMHSA approved, evidence-based programs. In our programs, participants have opportunity to learn how to make a WRAP plan – which includes a plan for what to do during a crisis, as well as a daily maintenance plan – a plan to help stay well, as well as learning wellness tools. Participants have opportunity to attend IPS groups, of which focus heavily on the relationship between peers, and the focus on community. WHAM has the focus on whole health, and living a healthy life – practicing on one’s own wellness goals for both physical and mental well-being.
The Adult Educational Wellness Center is open Monday through Thursday from 8AM to 5PM, and Friday 8AM to 4PM. Rides are provided to and from the center on request, however calls to be added to the list must be made prior to 8:30AM.
The crisis respite program offers a six-night, seven day stay, for those experiencing mental health crisis. This is a two-bed program on the side of the peer support program day center, with a private entrance, two bedrooms, a living area, and bathroom. Those attending must be able to otherwise manage their own health and medications if applicable, or otherwise arrange for someone to assist them. We do not manage medications and are not equipped to assist with medical emergencies. The program is staffed 24 hours a day.
The Step-Up Step-Down program is a longer-term residential program, 60-90 days, for those that are either stepping down from a hospital environment and need further support, or are stepping up into the program due to risk of hospitalization. Participants work towards their goals, and are supported by trained peer support specialists.
Traditional mental health practice focuses on the individual coming for services – their needs and feelings. Little time is spent paying attention to relational dynamics. In IPS we are always paying attention to the relationship – negotiating meaning and the needs of both people. We’re striving for the kind of relationship that both people genuinely value and find meaningful.
